Call for Workshop Proposals

NetSys 2025 invites proposals for full-day or half-day workshops. These workshops should provide a platform for presenting novel ideas in a less formal and possibly in a more focused way than at the main conference. Workshops are a great opportunity for community building and a forum for attendees with common interests.

We are soliciting workshop proposals on topics relevant to Networked and Distributed Systems and are open to a wide range of innovative formats. Workshops addressing emerging research directions are especially welcome.

Workshop Proposals

A proposal should include:

• Workshop name, topic, rationale, objectives
• Organization team
• Plans for reviewing and publication of submissions, if any
• A tentative Call for Papers
• A timeline with all relevant deadlines
• An estimate of number of attendees or, in case of follow-up workshops, statistics from previously held versions

Workshop Selection

Workshops will be reviewed considering several factors, including:

• The potential for the workshop topic to generate stimulating discussions and useful results
• The estimated interest of the community in the workshop topic
• The quality, organization, and plan described in the workshop proposal
• Relevance to the main conference
• In the case of multiple submissions on similar topics, organizers may be encouraged to merge them

Responsibilities of Workshop Organizers

The organizers of each workshop are expected to:

• Publicize the workshop with a call for participation via the NetSys website and within the respective research communities
• Set up a website for the workshop containing more details on the workshop, including CFP, workshop format, plans for publication (if any), participants, program, etc.
• Encourage potential participants to submit papers and attend NetSys
• Work with the Workshop Chair to arrange the workshop
• Actively run the workshop

Submitting your Proposal

Workshop proposals should be submitted no later than 24 January 2025  31 January 2025 (Extended), via e-mail with subject "NetSys 2025 Workshop Proposal" to mail@bastibl.net. The submission should be attached to the email as a single PDF file.
